Pay Check short?

I checked my pay stubs on work day and my check doesn't seem to be reflecting the hours I worked. I broke it down with my parents and checked my schedule on my phone and it says that I was not scheduled on the 25th and 26th when I worked a 12hr on the 25th and an 8hr on the 26th. Like I said I was checking this on my phone so it might show differently when I'm at work but my day off is today. Extended warranty on dyson stick vacuum

I’m looking at buying a stick dyson that’s on sale. The extended warranty for 7 years is $100-175 depending on the model. Does anyone know if I have a warranty issue in those 7 years will the vacuum be sent for repair or will it be refunded ? There’s a post from about 4 days ago that says the policy might have recently been changed to attempt to repair vacuums rather than refund. Does anyone have a answer on this? Promotional Thing that buys out my current phone for me and gives me a similar plan for a newer phone?

i have never heard of a promotion like this especially from best buy. According to the caller, they give this promotion to 1000 people in Canada. They would buy out my current contract and they would give me a new plan for a new phone with the plan being similar to the one I have now. I get to keep the phone they buy out too. Berated by customer for 20+ minutes today - stood up for myself

I was checking out a woman purchasing a phone case and screen protector today. Her total rang up to about $45 and then she said she a coupon. I kid you not she pulls out a piece of paper with a coupon printed on it that EXPIRED IN 2007! I knew immediately that this was gonna suck. I let her know the coupon was expired and that I couldn't apply it. She said "No it must be a mistake, I printed it today". I then let her know the coupon expired 15 years ago and that I could not accept it. She then said that they do it all the time and that I could do it manually. I just said I couldn't do it even if I wanted to. She puffed and said "Fine, I'll have to use my GC". She whips out a GC and throws it at me. The card has a $0 balance - great. 10% discount for dead pixels, conflicting info from reps

This is really a pretty simple question. I received an expensive laptop and it has 3 or more dead pixels (one spot looks to be a cluster). The first person I chatted with on the website offered me a partial or refund...but I thought the spots might bother me. I told them I would think about it and contact BB later about it. Exchange isn't an option because they are sold out, return would leave me without a laptop after all of the black Friday sales are over and I do like this laptop. I decided I would take the 10%, but now they are telling me they have no such option. Does BB offer partial refunds for defects or not? I think they should because it will just end up as a sharply discounted open box item anyway. Would I have better luck in the store? I could show them the spots, even if they are pretty minor...or major, depending on how think about buying a defective product. What are the hours of the live chat feature? Maybe I would stand a better chance waiting until it's lat...

Why does BestBuy push certain brands?

Just came back from BestBuy (Canada). I was looking at tablets, - apple ones are conveniently at the center of the store, Samsung is in the corner. Apple ones have access to the internet, while Samsung ones don't - you are unable to see how pdf's or website read, how the scrolling feels. On top of that, an employee was telling a customer next to me how Apple tablet he was holding (old 9 gen one) is far superior to any of Samsung ones, and that he would never even consider buying a Samsung tablet. I mean, I would get this kind of talk if I was in Apple store, but it was Bestbuy. Had my first mental breakdown in the SDR today!

I’ve been here a little more than a year and haven’t had a single breakdown. I’ve been pretty good at not stressing over things regarding work, but today just hit different. The holiday season last year was nothing like this, but I guess around this time I have a little more responsibility. Is it inappropriate to ask (on here) in general terms how the managers keep the store responsible for cash being correct?

Before I worked at best buy, I worked at Officemax and other small town retailers where your till was your responsibility. You and the manager counted your till at the beginning and end of your shift. If you were off by more than 2 dollars that was a problem; small discrepancies were tolerated. I worked in the printing and production impress department so it was just me and the manager (when he was in) that used the register. At Best Buy its a shitshow checking out whenever and whereever you can. Ordered xbox 1 for store pickup

So I ordered an xbox 1 series x for pickup on the 26 on nov 19. Of course it wasn't availble and when speaking with customer support they said the internal delivery was never made. ​ I saw a truck with some logistics company driving in the parking lot doing a weird parking at the nearby del taco. Quick question

I know this subreddit is for employees. However I’m panicking a bit. I bought an Apple Pencil second gen thinking I had the iPad air 4th gen. Come home open the box try it out, realize i have an iPad only not the iPad air so I would only be able to use the first gen of Apple Pencil. I opened the box but didn’t take the plastic off the pencil. Would I be able to exchange the second gen Pencil for the first gen? :( I was excited to start drawing today and now I’m just sad. GS Certified Refurb Price Adjustment Question

I bought an iPad that’s Geek Squad Refurbished for around 700 a few days ago. It’s ready for pickup now, but the price also came down 35 bucks. Help with missing package

I ordered a Mobo and a pc totaling $1000.00. I took off work when the package was supposed to be delivered only to have it be delayed. Took off work again when it was supposed to be delivered only to have it be delayed again. I wasnt able to take off work again and eventually it was delivered but when I got home nothing was there. I called bestbuy only to find out that they didn't require a signature for delivery and the Fedex driver just left the items outside my house. I don't understand how they didn't require a signature for such expensive items. Bestbuy told me they would investigate and they emailed me telling me no refund bc it was delivered and call local law enforcement. Fedex tells me it's bestbuys fault for not requiring a signature and to talk to bestbuy. Local law enforcement tells me all I can do is file a report. Anyone else struggling because of Bestbuy failing to provide common things

No name tag: Bestbuy refuses to give our store name tags and result alot of customers have given me problems for it. So many have asked to talk to a manager due to it during my interactions and don’t take my advice seriously when most of my team leads refer them to me. Most of our zebras are not working so we don’t have enough for everyone who needs one. Our wifi is super spotty so it takes five minutes to search core blue on the wifi. All alaskan residents get a yearly dividend (Permanent Fund Dividend, "PFD) just for living in Alaska. We don't have an income tax and our budget is mostly paid for by the Permanent Fund. The Permanent fund is a state sovereign wealth fund from mostly from oil sales royalties. After the state's services are paid for, the state decides each year how much money each resident gets. This year it was about $3200 per resident. Last year it was around $1600. Even kids, aka crotch goblins, get one. Family of 4? Last year that meant the family had $6400 to burn. This year it would have been $12,800 to burn. So I work as a Geek squad CA and I'm constantly doing func checks on monitors. After my shift I went over to where we put them since I was looking for a monitor and most didn't have any prices but some had prices of like $276 (save $4) is this the actual price? Weird Geek Squad in home.

I have a Vizio 65” M Series with total tech. I had to call in and set up an in home because my speakers work maybe ten minutes then go out and will make sound at random. Agents arrived and seemed cool then it ended there. So first, when they got here, I told them the TV speakers were out and that I had a sound bar set up. They go to the settings and they said oh your speakers aren't working because you have them turned off, disregarding what I said about turning them off because I set up the sound bar. They turn the speakers on and the TV starts playing sound and it goes out maybe ten minutes later. One of the guys like I think I just went out and the other said, ”no they're just being really quiet.” We sat in silence and they argue with me that the speakers weren’t out. Sales Rep Potentially Lied to Me

Hi everyone, I would like some advice on an issue I have. I would greatly appreciate any help. I went to my local Best Buy on Friday, and I got a new phone with a plan from them for a Black Friday promotion. There were two sales reps (one female and one male) that were taking me through the process. When I read through the contract, I noticed that what the sales rep offered to me wasn't written on the contract. The male sales rep told me it was going to be $50/month for 25 GB of data. On the contract, it was $50/month for 20 GB of data. I asked him about it, and he told me it says 20 GB on the contract because he could only apply one promotion for me. The original deal was $55/month for 20 GB, so the first promotion was decreasing the monthly fee to $50. This promotion is from the phone provider. Where is the refund going?

Hey everyone, got a tricky situation and kind of feel lost at the moment with what to do. I went to the best buy store near me, and wanted to exchange a headset that wasn’t fit to my needs. No problem there, i got the new one i wanted to exchange it out for and was assuming i would pay the difference. The customer service rep at the store issued the refund first, then made me pay for the new headset in full. I told him i didn’t want to do it that way and he said the refund was already processing. Here is the problem, i usually return my headsets to exchange them out right using my GSP, meaning the card that was initially used to buy the first headset, is no longer active and i no longer have that bank either. I tried letting them know, they said contact support/corporate. Help With Car Electronics Installation?

First off, here's the obligatory post about how the call center is useless and how I wish I could talk to the store directly. I'm sure for simple issues like inventory the call center is fine, but for specialized questions they don't really cut it. Anyway - I'm looking to get a CarPlay unit and backup camera installed in my car. I scheduled the appointment for next week even though I hadn't picked out the specific unit yet just because I wanted to lock in the date. When I scheduled the appointment, it said it would be something like $400 for these installs, but I ignored that since the unit I'm purchasing supposedly comes with free installation. I just got my s95b installed by a Best Buy tech yesterday and I’m already seeing my panel have bend on the top and lower end of the screen. The installer was a bit rough with the tv install. I saw it accidentally fall forward on his legs when he was turned away and witnessed it flex slightly. Along with over torquing the hardware on my full motion mount. I have been moving it quite a bit on the mount since yesterday to do cable management so I could’ve cause further bending myself. Aside from that I’m in love with the TV & the picture quality. I guess I’m just wondering if the bend will start to affect the picture quality? or if it continues to bend further if I’ll have an issue? I have total tech currently but will be adding GSP when I go to the store. VPL Schedule Change??

Soo I’ve been in our stores Verizon VPL position since February of this year and the schedule has always given me Mondays and Tuesdays off consistently since my start date. The holiday schedule was released yesterday with the days off being on opposite ends of the week. Has this changed for all vpls? And if so, is this temporary for the holiday or is this a permanent schedule change for Verizon VPLs? I don't understand. The checkout system accepted a coupon code. The checkout system tells me I'm saving $110. And yet, where is the savings? This code works fine on other non-sale phones and actually deducts the 10% off from the original price. If it's not supposed to work on iPhones, then it should return an error message when trying to apply it and not say that it's successfully applied. Has anyone returned a treadmill to BB (Canada)? Instructions are asking me to disassemble and repack it....

Long story short, this is a defective treadmill I'm sending back to BB. Got an email saying the return is approved and pick up has been scheduled. I have no problem with disassembling the treadmill, but packing it into an appropriate transportation box (the exact words from the instruction) is not possible. The original box has been recycled already. I tried to call and chat with customer service, but neither can provide any better instructions, as they can't tell me if taping regular cardboard boxes together to cover the whole treadmill is good enough. Progressive Leasing & Price Match Guarantee (How Will The Refund Come)??

Hello. I 'bought' an item using progressive leasing (i.e. I paid the initial deposit). I paid the initial deposit using my debit card. A few days later I saw that the item had dropped in price. So, I contacted Best Buy support to ask about the price match guarantee. The guy helped me out and said that I would receive a refund for the difference in price. I received a confirmation email from Best Buy saying "We've applied credit to your order. You're receiving this credit because of a price difference." I read through the email trying to understand exactly where the refund would go, but I couldn't quite figure it out. My question is, how exactly does this refund work with progressive leasing? Will it be refunded back to my debit card or will it go directly to progressive leasing and they will lower the amount of money that I owe on the lease based on this refund?? Does anyone know? I’ve been employed at my location for just under 5 months. Recently I was offered a position that I couldn’t refuse outside of Best Buy. I put in my two week notice and was told seasonal would be A - Ok so long as I put in at least a shift every two weeks. How to escape picking?

Why is it that some people do nothing but pick and other people do nothing but truck? Is getting put on picks just bad luck? Been here about two years and I rarely do anything other than picking. Shitty job, especially during the holidays. Really envying the guys in the warehouse who can just zone out and unload the truck. E Learnings question

E learnings at home? I got hired and had a 4 hour shift of just doing e learnings. I wasnt able to finish and still have about 3 hours left, but my next shift isnt until a week later. My leader mentioned that I can do the e learnings at home if I want as long as I record my hours, but when I check the TLC there’s no log to put in the hours for e learnings. Do I just clock in from home and do it? Or should I just wait until my shifts and expect them to pull me aside to finish them? I have a friend who worked retail (@ Target) and he told me that they pulled him aside for 1 hour during his shifts just to work on the e learnings, and I was expecting the same for BestBuy. But when the leader mentioned doing it at home, I got confused as to whether they expect you to do it on your own or at work. Insignia TV and Youtube

We recently got an Insignia brand TV and although we love it, we watch a lot of YouTube and we've weirdly noticed an INSANE amount of ads? I'm talking an ad literally every 30 seconds or less of video playtime. It's bad. Former Best Buy employee here, I ordered the AirPods Max headphones online and an empty box was delivered to me. When I called 1-800 bby they ended up setting up a pick up in store but never sent me a confirmation and told me that product was on hold? I buy a lot from Best buy. but I also do a lot of returns ( not that I want to) I'm also very tech savy. THE MAIN QUESTION CAN A CUSTOMER GET BAN FOR BUYING AND RETURNING THE SAME PRODUCT. I didn't even hold on to it for 5 min. I swapped that a 3rd one The third one doesn't run as hot as the 2nd one but it's not as cool as the first one. I decided to buy a 4th laptop and compair it to the 3rd one. That one was great - but something happened to the wifi card and it was only getting 1.5 mbps while the pc next to it was getting like 350mbps. ( both pc's were on 5G) I reloaded the os, put the latest drivers...

How do raises work?

I was wondering how the raise process works and if it’s even possible for a GM to key in a raise in pay for employees. I inquired my GM about a potential raise considering I’ve been at full time base for 1 1/2 years without a yearly review. My performance is definitely there… He said “there’s nothing I can do. So I started at Best Buy probably a month and a half ish ago. And I’m still not amazing at selling total techs or getting apps in all honesty. My local store refused to replace my PS5 controller that came with my console under my Geek Squad plan. Do I have any other recourse?

I bought my PS5 near launch almost 2 years ago. My controller stopped holding a charge and frequently disconnects. I reviewed my Geek Squad Protection Plan and it clearly states that the plan supports a one time controller replacement. I explained the situation to the store and they straight up refused to replace it, telling me it wouldn’t let them do it in the system and that it isn’t included in the plan despite it clearly stating the opposite on the website.
