Hey everyone, I’m full time and have been consistently been scheduled 9.5-10 hour shifts for the past couple months. I know it sounds stupid of me to complain when there are some people here that can barely get the hours they need to pay bills, but I don’t intend to make Bestbuy a long term career and would rather be able to actually use some of my day for things I want to do/ need to get done. I traded in my iphone when I bought the pixel 8 pro/pixel watch bundle. I loved the pixel but I couldn't wear the watch for more than a couple hours before it would hurt my wrist and skin would get irritated. I work for another retailer who also activates prepaid plains for customers. How do you guys deal with customers that dont know the lock status of their phone? For the most part they are unlocked and everything works, but every now and then someone will have a locked phone. Then the data wont work, sometimes calling does however, but everyone wants the data to work. I have to go through a whole process to refund them as the plans are not supposed to be refundable. In our POA the carrier does their own checks and does catch some phones that are locked, but it doesnt catch them all. Does anyone have any tricks? I have a 3 year old Vizio M Quantum that has a multitude of “weird” issues but nothing constant or obvious. For example, the speakers will randomly get louder or quieter, the tv has decided to just not have CEC anymore as none of my devices work with it as they used to, and occasionally I have to go into the setting to turn speakers on because they were turned off for some reason (we have no other audio setup and no changes that might have triggered it) With that being said, I have about a year and a half left in the GSP, what would Geek Squad do if they came out and they couldn’t verify the issues? I ended up gambling the other day and putting in an order for a ASUS ROG G14 (2023) Open Box Excellent. So I just got scammed, and Best Buy is refusing to accept my return. I bought an Alienware M17 AMD Ryzen 9 brand new. I get home only to find an Acer Nitro 5 inside. On Wednesday 10/04 I tried to place an order for a Pixel 8 Pro. During a security ID check (appears to be an anti fraud system that Best Buy uses with some different banks), the website said to to enter the security code that may bank (Citi) will send me. I have been through the wringer trying to get ahold of a geek squad sales agent to help me complete my appliance exchange. I had a Geek Squad tech come out and look at my Samsung electric dryer, and he determined he would just put in a work order for an exchange because it would be too complicated to fix. (I have a 3 year warranty on the dryer, and it’s only 2 years old.) He sent me the work order number and the exchange hotline number last Tuesday. Hello community, I have a very strange situation and would be glad if you could help me. I live outside the US and had the opportunity to visit LA in transit in August. There was a nice laptop offer, so I placed an order on August 12th at Best Buy and paid an extra $37 for expedited delivery due to my short stay in LA. However, my laptop was delayed and was only delivered on August 18th, by which time I had already left the US and returned to Spain. The UPS delivery person attempted to deliver the laptop to the address I provided, but the person at that address rejected the parcel due to my absence. I have an upcoming interview for the product flow specialist position, never worked at Best Buy or in a warehouse, but I do have a lot of experience in retail in general. Read up on it a bit, I know it can be stressful and physically taxing, and its temporary so they let go of you as soon as they don't need you, but I'm not worried about that. My concern is, I'm only looking for a temporary regular job, not looking to have any crazy duties or anything. The name of the job sounds intimidating but from I read the job itself sounds like a basic warehouse job. Hi! I'm only posting because I am a bit desperate at this point, and am looking for any assistance or advice. Recently, while purchasing a macbook, I bought a subscription to My best buy plus rewards. In store, I can use said rewards without issue and I assume that's due to the ability to look up an account via phone number. However, the issue I have run into is while shoping on the website or the app. When using the exact email the store has on file, (and the same email the rewards mail is sent to from bestbuy) it will not show I am a member, and therefore I get none of the savings I've paid for. I have called the customer support line best buy provides roughly a dozen times over two days and am yet to be able to speak to a living person to resolve my issue. It turns out I didnt need a win11 license key as I was able to successfully transfer my win10 license from an old computer. TLDW: delivery rescheduled 3 times and counting, customer care said compensation won't happen until after delivery but they will delaying it until I cancel. I paid $200 for BB total tech membership. I ordered a range hood back in June and was scheduled for early Sept delivery & installation. After waiting 3 months I took off a day off work for it and an hour before the delivery time they called me to say it has been delayed.
