Product flow rant

So recently they started cutting labor on the sales floor and there’s rarely any people on the floor. In the mornings, there will be 2 or 3 people that open. Customer get upset because there’s no people on the sales floor and yell at us. Some customers don’t know that the warehouse people aren’t trained in sales and don’t know much about product information. Price matching question

Let's say I bought a product from the best buy store itself. While this product is in the so called holiday return period, ending mid January, if the price for the exact product goes down can I price match it? What a couple daya

This is a vent about my experience with “best” buy. Decided to pick up a PC part for cyber monday. May as well take advantage of a somewhat reasonable deal. I purchase the part, select my pickup location, and I wait. I choose pickup today; this is important. I go outside to go and get some food, notice my car was stolen. Yay. After somewhat resolving that issue, I arrive at BestBuy around 8:49pm. It’s a little further out, but they had the item in-store, my local BB did not. I go in to see why I haven’t been notified about pickup and it’s 11 minutes from their closing time. “ So you know how it’s cyber monday? “ Those words were when I knew I would reach a level of pissed that I really didn’t want to reach. Medical/FMLA LOA

I recently switched the full-time, and I've been putting off taking leave for mental health for a while now. I was gonna wait till after the holidays, but my mental health got worse. I'm just wondering how the pay continuation works because I've been getting mixed answers and I can't talk to HR until tomorrow. I know you can get up to 6 weeks 100% pay with the doctors note and you can get up to two weeks paid without a doctors note. I just want clarification on what requirements I have to meet to be eligible for this since I've been give a different answers. Laptop order delayed

I ordered a Dell XPS laptop the other night that I found on sale for $1200 (MSRP $2500)... The laptop is an older model but went out of stock pretty much immediately after I order. The laptop still hasn’t shipped (been roughly 6 days and has been delayed twice) and customer service keeps saying it will ship by Dec 6th.. I feel like it’s not going to ship and they’ll just give me a credit later. But I need a laptop and there are some pretty good deals right now, which I may miss if I wait to the 6th to see if they can execute this order. Any advice here? Is it common for them to list items like this for a steep discount then not deliver? Will best buy give me a comparable machine later if they can’t deliver or will they just refund me? Empty Shelves

Been going to Best Buy for a while and have rarely had a bad experience. Staff pretty friendly and all. However, I feel like whenever I go in there, most of the shelves look pretty empty at almost every store I've been to in a few different states. Extra PC?

So I bought a Thermaltake PC that came with a faulty power supply and didn't really want to go into the store. They sent me a label, and I said I would do that, but then I changed my mind and said to feck it and sent it to the store anyway. The people there were awesome! They got me a refund and a different PC around the same price, and I was happy leaving it at that. But then a day later, I got a notification talking about how I'm getting a package of the exact same PC I bought, and I was so confused since I had already gotten a return of something different. Pixel 8 Pro Promo Order Cancelled

Ordered a Pixel 8 Pro on 10/13. It had a promo for a free Pixel Watch 2 and an enhanced traded in credit on $660 on my iphone 12 pro. It had a fufillment date on 11/8 and it was delayed. On 11/22 they cancelled my order. Have gone into the store and chatted with 4 different agents. All were of no help. None could recreate the promos. Who can I escalate this to that can fix this? Apple Products and Best Buy

Hi All, Looking for some suggestions on what to do: - My Mother-in-Law bought an iPad Pro through BestBuy/Fairstone. - The device is now locked and now my Mother-In-Law can't remember her Apple ID or password. - Receipt we got from BestBuy store locally has no IMEI number on it for recovery. - Manager wrote the IMEI on it and confirmed by signature that it was bought there, but Apple doesn't consider that valid. - Local Store said to call the 1888 BestBuy number but nothing they can do as the only receipt they have is the one we got. - Fairstone has said they wouldn't have anything in regards to this information and that it is a BestBuy/Apple issue. Anyone ever solve anything like this? Bought from Best Buy marketplace. I regret it.

About a month ago I bought a "excellent" and "certified refurbished" product from DCR through Best Buy. Fast forward, it has stopped working and DCR is unreachable. Unfortunately Best Buy apperently has no-hand in the matter despite servicing them on their platform? I should also mention DCR took down the product I bought. I picked up a mouse earlier and when I got home I took the box out of the bag and opened it up and noticed the box was tampered with and had no mouse inside . What do I do in this situation ? Charged twice for one order?

I pre ordered Oppenheimer, there was a hold placed on my card and then it was released until a week ago where i was actually charged, however after i was actually charged and the transaction completed, I even received my pre order already. A couple days later I was charged again, this time from the Best Buy app, this threw my balance into the negative and the transaction has been pending for over a week, I called Best Buy and they said there’s only one transaction and nothing they can do about it. My TV died again

My 8 month old LG TV died for the second time this this year. First time LG sent all new replacement parts and geek squad fixed it. I've got the 5 year plan on it. Now it's dead again. No power no lights nothing. Dead. It's going to take geek squad three weeks just to come out and confirm it's broken. Price Match question

I bought a Quest 2 a couple weeks ago. I see on the best buy blog (Canada) they are offering $70 off + $75 gift card as of tomorrow. Anyone know if Best Buy honours the discount + gift card bonus or only the discount? Spoke with support and they don’t know and weren’t helpful. Don't buy pixel 8 if you want selfie cam

I'm an employee and have been waiting for a sale on the pixel 8 and finally got a good deal on an open box of the phone. Fun fact nobody talks about is selfie autofocus. I'm absolutely livid that this phone has a fixed selfie aperture. What this means is that if I want to take a selfie or do a video call, the phone has to be more than a foot away from my face to not looked like a 360-480p video. This is absolutely unacceptable for a phone that retails over $700. I thought my phone was damaged until I did more research on it. Can I return a damaged E scooter?

So I tried googling a bunch and can't find an answer, but I bought a Segway ninebot e scooter a couple days ago, the one with added suspension and everything and lo and behold I guess the suspension doesn't work all that well because the rear tire rim cracked real bad and the tire ripped after hitting a small pothole on the road. I certainly don't want a scooter I paid 1000$ for to be this fragile, especially as it touts being able to take more of a beating with the suspension but now I'm worried that I won't be able to return it. Will I be okay? Awful customer service for appliances

I ordered a washer and dryer set in the middle of August. washer dryer set not working. Multiple appointments, no call no shows, replacement came a month and a half later- set up wrong, I've called at least 20 times between my girlfriend and I- holding and talking for hours and hours with these people. At least 31 hours, so where's my full time pay for this? Had the replacement scheduled and no one called or showed up that day. No communication at all. We called them and no one knew what was going on. Two days later they tell us the replacement wasn't available at the time after we called them again. But no one reached out to us- then they finally got it to us 2 weeks later- which didn't work! We had repair scheduled 2 weeks out and we were cordial about it, then they call us day of and tell us they accidentally scheduled an install and it will be 2 more weeks for A repair appointment. I finally got a return approved and they made me pay 100 to pick it up, otherwise...

Best Buy rewards points with Citi card

Hey. Hoping to get some feedback on an issue I am currently having. I went to Best Buy to purchase a tv and found a deal on an open box tv and decided to take the chance. The sales rep told me about opening up the citi bank credit card saying I would get 10% rewards on my first purchase which would have came to $200 so I decided to do that. Since it was too large to bring home I opted for the tv to be delivered and when it arrived it was completely destroyed (the delivery guy literally carried an 85” tv from the truck to my house by himself by laying the tv screen down in his head). So I had to return the tv and since they didn’t have any others of that model or anything equivalent I had to hold off on a replacement. 3 weeks later I finally find another deal on a tv that I decide to go with. Sweet Deal

I just wanted to give anyone and everyone a heads up. I just got a $1200 55" TV for $360!. It's the Samsung QN85A. I wasn't able to search it up on the app but if you work at best buy and see one in stock ring that bad boy up and see if you get the same deal. It's a couple years old but still a pretty TV for a pretty price. I've seen this happen on TVs that have been discontinued. They get a HUGE discount. Good luck! Question about a $49 charge on an exchange

Hey guys, so bit of context are used to work at a Best Buy back when they only had one my Best Buy total tech plan currently I have my Best Buy total and I don’t entirely remember the rules. I know that if a customer has an exchange with an item that they bought with their Best Buy total that when they use their protection plan, there’s a service fee I just don’t remember it being $49, was it always 49 for the service say I’m just a little confused and if anyone can clarify, that would be great. Open Box Order Cancelled, Price Increased

Question for employees or someone who has experience - I found an open box item marked in fair condition for about 20% off the new price at my local store and ordered it online for pickup. About 20 minutes later, the order was cancelled, I figured because the item was unavailable. The next day I search again and the open box fair item comes up at my local store again, but is only at a 5% discount now. Order seemingly on permanent delay

Like the title says, ordered a fridge, stove, and dishwasher in September. I received the dishwasher and stove in October but for the last month my fridge shows as "delayed, we will email you when your item is available". I call once a week to get the same answer: cancel your order if you cant wait. OH, and they are selling the same fridge for pick up from my local store within 30 days even though they cant fill my order. Best Buy Literally Stole My Credit.

As mentioned in the headline, I purchased an Xbox controller via the website in July using E-Gift Cards. The controller was to be shipped to a friend's house, but for some reason, Best Buy said FedEx couldn't deliver the item, which was returned to them. On July 16, I got the email that the refund process would start shortly. I waited around two weeks and, when the E-Gift cards still hadn't been refunded, I contacted BB. They told me the refund would take place within a month of the item's reception. I took them at their word. Now, a new item I'm interested in purchasing is available for pre-order at BB. I went to check the E-Gift Cards balance again and guess what? They're all still completely empty. This feels like utter robbery. It never happened in my whole life. What in the actual hell is going on?

I have been with Best Buy for almost 19 years, I have seen the holidays come and go for 18 years and let me just say this is the most unorganized clusterfuck of holiday seasons I have ever been apart of. Today we had 2 people on salesfloor total 2 people. That's the entire 35k salesfloor and frontlanes, curbside, and we had a huge ass appliance truck with no room for shit, plus totes from Saturday night truck, plus 50 inch tvs stacked up everywhere, no one scheduled to make dreams happen with all of this overstock bullshit! Appliances everywhere with no end in sight! And oh yeah we are cutting the hell out of hours, WHO IS LEFT TO CUT? Poor attendance?

I’m a seasonal worker and I never ever call in sick or call off for any reason possible. I like doing what I do at Best Buy despite all the stuff going on. Usually when I am scheduled for a shift I am asked in advance due to my little availability and how far I live. I am reached out to and asked if I can count. I always say yes. Today I was scheduled for a shift to count and I was not notified at all. Yet I was still expected to come in. Since this was not communicated with me, I did not come in because I was not aware of it at all. Is this normal or an expectation of seasonal workers? I have other commitments too but I have always agreed to work within availability as long as it’s communicated. Just looking for advice and seeing what my consequences are lol. The Ann Arbor, MI location is a fucking dump

I’m a customer with a grudge here. I’m tired of this location and their fucking shit. Maybe I sound like a Karen, but IDFC. I’ll get the damn ugly haircut and sunglasses if I have to. This store in the recent months has consistently sold me and people I know defective products, that right there should’ve been my sign. Whenever I do play the lottery of will I buy expensive garbage from here, they never have what I’m looking for. Even if it is for a well known brand or their own brand. 7 business days for a data transfer?

I was planning on buying a new MacBook at Best Buy today but was quoted 5 to 7 business days to transfer data from my old Mac to my new one. Is this typical for geek squad to quote so long on a data transfer? I found out apple does free same day data transfers where geek squad charges $100. Geek squad and total tech support used to be so great, now I’m wondering if my total membership is just a waste of money. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I try another Best Buy? Got screwed over with the protection plan.

Bought a tv a few years ago, was told in store that the warranty I purchased included accidental damage. Long story short, hired a cleaning lady and she hit the handle of a vacuum on the tv. I'm looking into buying an Asus G14 Gaming Laptop. The current discount has it at 1249$, down from the list price of 1599$. If I buy it right now, and the price comes down during the actual Black Friday sale, Will I be eligible to get a refund for the price difference? Super cheap open-box OLED doesn't work - return or repair?

Hi all! The other day, I purchased a 65" S95B at my local Best Buy marked down to <$1000 (>65% off MSRP). The TV was listed as "Open Box - Excellent," which indicated to me that it had (probably) been looked at by employees and verified it worked, was free of scratches/etc., and had all of its original accessories. I was somewhat skeptical of buying a QD-OLED that wasn't new (I asked an employee why it had been brought it, and they said they didn't have any record of the reason), but between the crazy low price and the holiday return window giving me until mid-January to return it (confirmed by the employee), I decided to pull the trigger. As it turns out, the TV does not work. While there weren't any obvious signs of use, the TV would not power on (absolutely nothing appears on the screen), and troubleshooting with Samsung has confirmed that the TV doesn't work. Sold fake AirPods

I bought a brand new set of Apple AirPods Pro from BestBuy online in 2020. I had some staticky sound from both AirPods and Apple extended my warranty for 3 years as this was a known problem for them. I sent them in to be repaired a few weeks ago and Apple is claiming there are “unauthorized modifications” to my AirPods. In other words, Apple thinks they are fake?? Has anyone dealt with this before? I sent Apple a copy of my BestBuy receipt but they still believe they are fake? Serial number on the receipt match the one on my AirPods.
